8th Annual Abilities Fair

AmpSurf was proud to be one of the organizations at The 8th Annual Abilities Fair showcasing products and services for people with disabilities in San Luis Obispo. The event is hosted by United Cerebral Palsy (UCP).UCP is the leading source of information on cerebral palsy and is a pivotal advocate for the rights of persons with any disability. As one of the largest health charities in America, the UCP mission is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities*.

Bobby, John, Rodney and I spread our message of bringing Adaptive Surfing to those with disabilities. We answered several questions and we had several participants try our boards in the grass and work on some quick dry land drills. It was great to see peoples faces light up as they simulated riding the waves. We had several want to sign up and come out to our Learn to Surf Clinics so we are hopefull that we will see them again soon. Thanks to the UCP for having us and we are glad that we got a chance to offer our support to them as well.
